The Exhibits at Science Museum of Virginia
Richmond
We weren't sure whether or not to go to the Science Museum of Virginia, but we had a spare afternoon, so we did. It is housed ion the old Broad St. Station and was very hands on from the moment we went in. It was really good, honest fun, and a chance to muck around an experiement. We watched a show at the Omnimax and then went to an area with steam locomotive and an aluminum submarine of all things. It is located on West Broad Street.

Visiting Maggie Walker House at Richmond
Maggie Walker (1867 to 1934) sure seemed to have been quite a woman in here time, setting up her own bank and fighting for equality. She worked hard to set up her beautiful home in the Jackson Ward, and this is now open to the public, so that you can learn more about this truly remarkable woman. The house has been completely restored and when we stepped inside, we stepped back to the 1930s, well amost anyway.

Flying high at the Virginia Aviation Museum
The Virginia Aviation Museum is part of Richmond Airport - don't miss it. This is likely to be the first attraction you come across, so check it out before you get to your hotel. There are even some kite here that the Wright Brothers once used as they began to development their knowledge of flying. Some of the newest planes here look more like space ships.
